When performing the invasive examination or treatment, we try to recognize the 3‒dimensional(3D)cardiac structures accurately by using various kinds of modalities in order to do that safely and surely. Indeed, they provide us with the useful morphological information of the heart roughly. However, there are many important structures they cannot reveal. It seems to be very hard for us to improve them all at present. Therefore, we have to make up for their several weak points with the help of the anatomical knowledge. In this luncheon seminar, we would like to show the basic cardiac anatomy essential to the cardiac device and ablation therapy therapy, and to demonstrate the pitfalls associated with 3D‒mapping, 3DCT, echocardiogram and MRI from the view point of structure.
